We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our online Parent Village Course! This engaging 6-week course is tailor-made to equip, empower, and uplift parents as they support their young people through the twists and turns of adolescence.
Dive into six essential themes that every young person will encounter, whether directly or through the experiences of those around them.
By the end of this course, you’ll walk away with:
Enhanced Confidence in Discussing RSHE Topics
Parents will feel more equipped and confident to have open, age-appropriate conversations with their children about relationships, sex, and health, fostering trust and stronger family communication.
Improved Understanding of RSHE Curriculum and Child Development
Parents will gain a clear understanding of what their children are learning in school regarding RSHE, as well as insight into child development stages and how these topics support their overall well-being.
Practical Tools to Support Your Child’s Healthy Relationships and Decision-Making
Parents will leave with practical strategies and resources to guide their children in developing healthy relationships, understanding boundaries, and making informed decisions about their physical and emotional health.

LVA are a local charity that deliver relationship and sex education, as well as offering 1:2:1 support around emotional wellbeing in our local schools and youth settings.
Crosslight advice provide face-to-face debt advice together with money education and budgeting support. To individuals and families in need.

Prayer Breakfast

Come along to LVA's prayer breakfast where we will be hearing from Kayleigh and the Team about their work with young people in schools and youth settings in the borough. Also, how you can support and uphold them, their work and young people in prayer. As well as prayer we'll be starting off with some bacon butties, croissants and other breakfast goodies so please do sign up and tell us your dietary requirements if you have any.

Therapeutic Mentoring Info Evening.
Our therapeutic mentoring program (or TMP) is a 20 week program where volunteer mentors will have the opportunity to work through our loved, valued, able mentoring journey in our local schools with students aged 11-16. This is a placement style program best suited to those on courses where this experience is beneficial to their career pathways. However it’s not exclusive to a particular group. The most important qualities are time commitment and a genuine empathy for supporting young people through challenging times in their life.
